Week of May 2-8

The following is the training schedule for May 2-8. The days marked in red indicate an organized practice. I have included suggested workouts for non-practice days. This schedule is only a guideline. You may need to adjust it according to your own schedule and needs. 

Monday

  • 7:00pm
  • F.H. Collins Secondary meet at the front door
  • 60-75 mins technical training

Tuesday

  • 45 easy run/alternate aerobic activity or day off

Wednesday

  • 6:00 pm
  • Yukon College by the pumphouse
  • 45 race +20 min warmup/down

Thursday -

    • Ear Lake at Miles Canyon Rd and Alaska Hwy

  • 60-75 mins technical training

Friday

  • 30-60 easy
  • relaxation and visualization

Saturday

  • 80-120 mins long run
  • relaxation and visualization

Sunday

  • Mt. Mac
  • 60 mins aerobic intervals with map + goalsetting/map study

Totals:

physical: 6:40 to 8:20

technical: 4 sessions

mental: 2 sessions + 4 organized sessions
